With the new technology application in China Telecom industry, the Calculating telephone fees system of China telecom Chengdu branch includes channel support system, calculation telephone fee operation (Unix system)，telephone number and line management programme operation, inquiry programme operation and compositive sales account system.
For the reason of widely distributed operation counter, the system maintenance for technician is troublesome, but the fault from broken network or machines may cause the error of user calculation fee, which may worsen the enterprise’s image.
C/S (client/sever) structure is applied in current PC system embedded with UNIX OS. 

C/S structure includes sever in the back end and PC or terminal in the front desk. The mode is widely used in front desk operation of Chengdu telecom branch.
The mode could be built with middle and low end server , but the weakness of this mode is distinct.
